There is not any better option in the area for breakfast. Consistent great food and service. This place is packed anytime they are open. Do yourself a favor and get the hobo bowl. I get mine with grits, sausage, runny egg, and biscuit on the side. It is loaded and great value. Enough food for 2 in one meal. Pancakes are a little dry but flavor is there. Grits, sausage, bacon, biscuits, etc... on point every time. The porkchops are top shelf. Lunch time is good but not as good as breakfast.

The Palace restaurant has been a staple in Monroe , NC for many years . It has been remodeled & updated with a fantastic menu . They serve breakfast and lunch daily , and now serve dinner Wednesday through Friday . They have great county style selections such as country style steak & gravy over mashed potatoes or rice . Lots of great hot or cold vegetables to choose from for your sides . They also have grilled steak or the delicious Colorado Chicken. Plus much more . Desserts & muffins available. The food is still delicious here and service is great . The servers take great care of you . They have plenty of parking available & are handicap accessible. They have something for everyone at The Palace restaurant so if you enjoy good food , they are a good choice .I highly recommend them .

The atmosphere of this place is so amazing. It's always friendly and I always bring friends and family to ensure delicious southern, home styled food. It's amazing and the service is top notch!

My family loves eating here for breakfast and lunch. It's a awesome little southern down home restaurant. All the staff (that I've come into contact with) are super sweet and patient. Great service and delicious food. A cozy place to meet up for breakfast with your girlfriends/buds, or plan a breakfast date with your grands. I definitely recommend and we will always go back.

We had breakfast at the Palace and it was delicious. Amy, our waitress is wonderful and so sweet. The Greek omelette was great and the biscuits were great too. Highly recommend this cute little restaurant.

Great service phenomenal food. Friendly diner atmosphere. I will be a lifelong customer of Palace. It smells so clean and fresh in there and the employees really seem to enjoy their job. I will keep going back, especially for the house made ranch!

Good local breakfast shop, good service , good prices .. eggs and cheese biscuits were fresh made and delicious. Eggs , hash brown, and turkey sausage plate was very good too..

I'm not from Monroe. Just visiting for a NCSBA State Conference. A friend from the area recommended I stop here. Hat tip to B Williams I had the Western Omelette with grits, bacon and biscuits. The food was fantastic! The grits had something special in them... I don't know what, maybe bacon grease Still, excellent!! The omelette was well made and a perfect mix of vegetables and eggs. Bacon was perfectly fine AND THE BISCUITS!!!!OMG they were perfect, huge and SOOOooo fluffy. If you're visiting Monroe NC, I highly recommend you so in here. You won't be sorry.
